Kyoko Hamaguchi
Kyoko Hamaguchi (b. 1989, Tokyo, Japan) is a conceptual mixed-media artist who lives and works in New York City. By utilizing her daily experiences and society’s systems in her artwork, commonplace images are reimagined and abstracted. This defamiliarization reflects her interest in the betweenness that results from displacement in time and space. Her work takes form in many different materials including photography, sculpture, and installation.
